In Brights, Birthdays and Food

20110911-2

20110911-1

blazer: H&M
top: Zara
shorts: Forever21

No shoes for now. I didn't have time to take a whole body photo and besides I think we all know by now what shoes I was wearing.

And yet again, I am caught with a very wrinkly ensemble. This is getting embarrassing.

Wore this for my sister's birthday lunch. Birthdays = NO BLACK, NO WHITE. It's ok for shorts or pants but for the rest bright colors are a must.

We ate at Tao Yuan. It's a Singaporean-Chinese restaurant. My Dad is very particular when it comes to chinese food and it's been a while since a restaurant has impressed him. This one really did. I'm not a food blogger so I am not even going to attempt to write like one...all I can say is YUMMY!!!

Prepare for a bit of hunger-inducing food photos:

Laksa.
I love spicy food but somehow despises spicy soup. That is until I tried this one. It's really spicy but has a buttery taste at the same time.  I can't explain it well but for I'll come back for this soon. Real soon.

OMG! This one is just too good for words. Just looking at the picture makes me drool. Takam na takam ako. ANG SARAP nyan! Pramis!

And of course, the Birthday Cake.
Spot my "first name" there.

A Trip to Salcedo

20110820-2

20110820-1

20110820-3

tee: Forever21
blazer: somewhere in HK
shoes: Topshop
lips: Mac Candy Yumyum

Went for a very basic outfit because we were headed for a market. I've had this tee since last year and is probably one of my most worn clothing. It's super comfy and fuss free. And my boyfriend was beyond ecstatic to see me in flats and not in Litas. He despises my JC babies a little because it make me a wee bit taller than him. I did bring a blazer with me because we dropped by Rockwell Bazaar that night.

Also, put on very minimal make up. Tinted moisturizer, light eyebrow powder, touch of mascara and of course the infamous highlighter pink Candy Yumyum lipstick.  My face felt naked w/o my eyeliner.

After our disappointment with the food in Mercato, the boyfriend and I dragged our "anti-morning selves" to Salcedo Market a few Saturdays ago. We were a little more prepared this time. I did a little bit of research the night before. My favorites were the samosa and baklava. The Japanese pancake was yummy as well... actually most of the food we tried were quite delicious. Unlike in Mercato were the food were mostly redundant, Salcedo has a very wide variety. I'm been planning to go back with my friends soon. It's worth the early morning call.
