Popcorn Protected

(blazer: Museum Clothing, pants:bought in HK, shoes: H&M)

I finally watched HP7. Yey! I'm a dork I know. but actually we almost didn't make it to the movie. as I've mentioned before the first time we planned on watching it, tickets were sold out. so early yesterday morning, my cousin went ahead and bought tickets for the 6pm show. My brother and I left the house and hour before the movie starts but still needed to go to Shangrila Mall first to pick up my sister before we had to go to Eastwood. I live somewhere in Caloocan so now, if you're from the Philippines, you'd know exactly how impossible that would be. thankfully though it was a long weekend so there was no heavy traffic in Edsa. we made it in the cinemas 5mins before it started.

I know it’s a bit much for movie night but i have my reason. you see, we get free popcorn with the movie and I always go for the cheese flavored one. and if you know me, you’ll know how much of a klutz I am that I always end up with cheese powder all over me. So I had to go with a black ensemble..at least it’s not that visible from afar.

Dear Santa

All I ask is for the Lita's to arrive in our shore. I'll take care of the rest.

Dotted. NOT Spotted.

(vest: Archive Clothing, wedges: People are People, brogues: the Ramp)

Yesterday, I met up with my college friends to watch the film showing of our friend's entry to The 22nd CCP Independent Film & Video Competition.

Not to be bias but I absolutely love his entry. There was a clear story line. The characters were relatable. The scenes and lines were witty, funny and heartwarming. I'm really so proud of him.

After the film, we ate and had coffee and chatted. i love days like that. Feel good days.

On to the outfit, I opted to wear flats because I originally planned on riding the LRT. But my very good friend R, decided to pick me up because I've been having asthma attack. hahaha...bless her sweet soul.

I did however miss the extra oomph my wedges would have given me.

The vest is another one from Archive. it looks like a cheetach/leopard print from afar, but it actually is a polka dotted vest. keeping it in trend right?

The Symbolic Red

(blazer and socks: SM dept. store, skirt: Hong Kong, Headband: F21, shoes: trunkshow)

Pardon the photo overload.

Yes, I have this addiction with stripes. especially black and white. and i'm still on the hunt for the perfect black and white striped blazer.

These red socks are from a shoot I did a while back for a school project. the theme was a modern little red riding hood. I never thought I'd actually wear them myself. haha..but it was a perfect pop of color for this outfit.

Wore this for dinner last Sunday. We were planning on watching a movie but he doesn't really enjoy the HP series so I didn't want to watch it with him. Hopefully the cousins and I will get to watch it this weekend.

Be My Rainbow...

(blazer: mom got it for me, blouse: bought in Hong Kong, shorts: Trunkshow, shoes: F21)

We were planning to watch Harry Potter today but sadly tickets were sold out, even the 10pm screening. I was so looking forward to it. maybe I'll have some luck tomorrow.

JK Rowling, you had me at "the lights on the street went out.." but I will forever curse you for killing Dumbledore! ok..end of geekines.

anyways, today's outfit was dictated by my make-up. Usually, I pick an outfit, put on my make-up and then get dress. But today, I did somewhat of a different eye and decided to forgo my original ensemble and embraced a bit of color. the first two photos I took before I left the house, the rest was when I got back. which explains the faded and somewhat crappy makeup.

These shorts are super short...that it's a bit scandalous. good thing it rained a little which excuses the tights in this humid weather of ours. hahaha..

off to bed for now...goodnight fashionables.

Reminiscent

(blazer:Details, white tee: Forever 21, pants: gifted, shoes: Soule Phenomenon)

(rings: Bijoux de Lou and some from Hong Kong. )

I’m getting tired of this location for my photos..the background is too distracting. but it’s the best lighting I have inside the house. I was gonna try to shoot outdoors but rain poured just as I was about to go outside. maybe tomorrow.

Comfort was my agenda in today’s outfit..and nothing beats jogging pants in that department. Paired it with a light weight blazer to add some structure. we all know these shoes are my comfy ones. I’d buy a back up if only they were still available. hahaha.. I’d be tempted to buy the original JC’s if only it came in a different color. the ones we have back here are the light grey one.

These are some my current favorite rings. I just can't get enough of rings. I know I know, I get "addicted" to things. can you blame me? they're gorgeous right. hahaha..

Early Spring

(jacket: Archive Clothing, skirt: Forever 21, shoes: People are People)

Wore this last Sunday for lunch with the relatives. it was my nephew's birthday, thus explains the not so muted ensemble. it is frustrating to dress up for birthdays when my closet is swamp with blacks and whites.

I know my outfit is more for spring than winter, but we only have 2 seasons here. although it feels like we'll only be having one for this year. 2010 is almost over and the cold breeze ( we roughly translate as our winter), is nowhere to be felt. all my blazers are still locked up in my closet. sad.

the jacket is another purchase from Pax of Archive. I'm actually not into floral prints but this one I love. the pattern is not overwhelming, and it's a sunny yellow, which makes for a happy outfit.
and my apologies for the wrinkled skirt. but the fabric is one of those stubborn ones that just crease at the slightest touch.

Blush Baby, Blush

I have a confession: I seriously considered deleting my chictopia account yesterday...why? because the universe was playing mean tricks on me. To cut the long story short. my very good friend, Miss V (yes, I know you're reading this. Hate you!) has been quite persistent in asking for my link there, which obviously I don't share with anyone. And due to a very dumb accident click on my part, I shared it through facebook. and yeah..she just happens to be online at the exact moment. sometimes, everything in the universe aligns just to make your life miserable, or maybe in her case it was a bit the opposite.

I know my posts can be seen by anyone around the world, BUT nobody in my real life knows about this. hahaha..i know, ironic right?

Anyways, I went for a softer look today. the shorts I got from Forever21 a few weeks ago. I didn't have time to try it on because there were just too many people due to the sale. I just grabbed it and hope it fits. thankfully it does. the top I got from a warehouse sale for PHP150 or about 3 dollars, talk about bargains. And the cover up is from my sister's closet. haha..

2nd Hand Dreams

Last Night's Dream: Scoring some great vintage finds in a thrift store.

Shopping Confession: I've never been to a thrift store before. Unaccpetable. I know. I am however addicted to Online Vintage Shops...particularly Archive Clothing by Pax.

Though evidently Pax and I have different styles, I admire her keen eye for great pieces. She scores these beautiful and one of a kind clothes that will not fall out of place in your wardrobe. And probably one of the most sought after items in her collections are blazers. rightfully so... they're nothing short of amazing. i guess that's to be expected from a self-confessed blazer addict.

I'm still hopeful though that I can thrift for some wonderful pieces myself. I just have to convince my sister to go with me.

Here are some of the things I bought from Archive:

And these I'm giddily waiting for in the mail:

Lollita-ISH

(jacket, top, skirt, belt: all from Hong Kong. shoes: H&M, cuff: Bijoux de Lou)

This is my take on the “Maxi Trend”. I missed my darker hues so I went for an almost overall black outfit. but as I’ve said before going head to toe black just doesn’t look proper on me. so I opted for the striped blouse. I kinda wish the skirt was a wee bit longer, since I wore them high waisted. but on the plus side it shows off my shoes.

the jacket I wore HERE. I wish I had it in a camel tone. does anyone know where I might find one locally???

the skeleton cuff I got online is so creepy and cool. i love it. it goes all the way around my wrists. you can teach anatomy with this thing. I’m usually not into this kind of stuff but I just thought it was so unique I just had to have it. of course, my dad hates it. but he still thinks of me as his little princess so I guess he just doesn’t approve. hahaha..

Kaleidoscope

(Dress: Archive Clothing. Tights: F21. Shoes: Soule Phenomenon.)
pardon the blurry photos…I was having a hard time with my cam’s setting. I think it’s getting ready to retire.
the dress is another awesome purchase from Archive Clothing. it’s a tent-like dress w/o the belt. the print in the middle is absolutely gorgeous, reminds me of looking into a kaleidoscope.
the shoes we all know and love from Soule Phenomenon. it seriously goes with anything.
tights are from Forever 21. it’s funny that most of the people in the mall were wearing shorts while I was in these. It’s not my fault, I get cold easily. what’s a girl to do right? I have this theory that people who are born in the summer months get colder easily, compared to those who were born in the winter months. at least that holds true in my family.
