Last week's outfit. 

It was a good day. A day of endless eating, shopping hunt, mini debates, lipstick party and bonding. Spent the day with the boyfriend and 2 of my closest friends. I love days like that. 

We dropped by Mercato that night. When you first go in, the food that you'll see is overwhelming. You'll want to taste everything. And that is exactly what we tried to do. I have to say though, I was really disappointed. There really was nothing special about the food we got...and I think they were overpriced. Or maybe we just ordered all the wrong things? Do you have any suggestions? I read from Sarah's post about the cheese steak sandwich. maybe we should have tried that....oh well. At least it was good company.

I'm stubborn and a creature of habit. So really "change" is not something I embrace wholeheartedly. When I find something that works for me I tend to stick by it. Not the wisest thing, I know.

Take these shorts..It's one of my favorite piece in my closet. I've worn it so many times and can't seem to get enough of it. I love every fold and crease, the color is gorgeous, it has a distress feel to it, and it's leather that doesn't stick to my skin. Perfect right? Well almost! The thing is, it's too big for me. It was a size bigger for me when I originally bought it and now it can literally slide off my thighs without unbuttoning. It doesn't have belt loops so belting it is not helping much. Does it stop me from wearing it? No. Will I get rid of it anytime soon? Not really. Did I bore you with that relatively long essay about a pair of shorts? Probably. 

I'm sorry. I tend to babble endlessly about mundane stuff. I lost my train of thought. 

Tried and Tested

You know I'm being lazy when I've got these wedges on. I consider them my flats. I'm actually wearing a lot of my most worn accessories so I guess it was a lazy day.  These were from 2 weeks ago.. before the whole hiatus thing. 

I finally cave in to the one ear, feather earring. I enjoyed it but you probably won't see me sporting it often. I think Ava does it so well though... she makes it work. 

Nothing much to say today. How about you? Anything to share?

AVA - August Sale and Free Shoes

Due to my hiatus from blogging I wasn't able to inform you guys early about the Chinese Laundry Sale that Ava is having at the moment. You still have time though, it's ending this friday (August 12, 2011).

Another ongoing sale is from Vieta. I love the designs of these bags, especially Paige (they have it in black and brown). It's sophisticated and trendy at the same time. Best of all, they're quite affordable. Price range from Php3,500 to Php5,000 but due to the sale nothing is over Php3,500. This sale will last until August 19, 2011.

Another sale that will start this Friday (08/12/2011) is from Melissa. I'm personally not a fan of jelly shoes but I have seen their store, and I have to say they have some cute ones. The sale will include designs from Vivienne Westwood, Karim Rashid and J Maskrey. This sale will last until August 26, 2011.

I've actually enjoyed my time away from my blog...but I'm back and I've missed it. For those who asked I'm up and well. Just wanted a little time off from "bellavanite". The very short hiatus was spent doing Grey's Anatomy marathon.

in other things, I still have no idea where to get Jeffrey Campbell in Hong Kong. I asked my cousin to check out i.t. but apparently they don't carry the brand. Do any of you know? I'd really appreciate it.

TOPS Blogger Bash

I had an "epic fail" Friday. I was suppose to attend the SoFa graduation but the traffic was so bad it took me more than 2 hours to get there. I felt so guilty because had to ask my brother to drive me and he got stuck in traffic again going home. I owe him, big time. And I'm pretty sure he''ll collect that debt soon. 

Anyhows, I had to wait for the boyfriend to drive me to Ortigas for the 2nd event. I know, I know I'm such an inconvenient. Thankfully though it hasn't started when I got there. 

I first blogged about TOPS HERE. Did any of you join? I wasn't able to. Sayang! 

Basically TOPS offer clothing and accessories from US and UK brands at a discounted price. They have several branches here in Manila and in Cebu, Bacolod and Iloilo. 

I still owe them a visit so I'll be doing that soon and I'll let you guys know.
