Day 2 in Hong Kong

20110917-1

20110917-3

hat: H&M
shirt and shoes: Topshop
shorts: Forever21
lips: Mac lady Danger

This was the 2nd day in Hong Kong aka "shopping day". We went from Causeway Bay to Mongkok to Tsim Sha Tsui and back to Causeway. My sister and I were running like crazies because we had to get back in time for my grandma's birthday dinner. We were literally running all over the place but it was worth it. I found my favorite purchase of the trip that day.

One of the things I really love about Hong Kong is that everybody walks. They walk everywhere, wearing anything. You see fashionistas in stilettos and full on make up just walking down the street. You see corporate people in their 3-piece suit riding the MTR. And the best part NOBODY stares. Walang basagan ng trip talaga

Too bad I wasn't able to take my outfit photo in Mongkok. Nakakalunod kasi ang dami ng tao dun! Maybe next time.

Day 1 in Hong Kong

20110916-1

vest: Forever21
shorts: Forever 21
shoes: Topshop

This is what I wear to shop. I always go for the most comfortable clothes when I go to Hong Kong. It's just practical to do so. I have to commute and walk everywhere.

I'm just glad I took that photo when I did because minutes after that I stepped on something really nasty. I won't elaborate. It was just really nasty.

My apologies for not posting any other photo but myself. I forgot to take pictures, like always.

In Brights, Birthdays and Food

20110911-2

20110911-1

blazer: H&M
top: Zara
shorts: Forever21

No shoes for now. I didn't have time to take a whole body photo and besides I think we all know by now what shoes I was wearing.

And yet again, I am caught with a very wrinkly ensemble. This is getting embarrassing.

Wore this for my sister's birthday lunch. Birthdays = NO BLACK, NO WHITE. It's ok for shorts or pants but for the rest bright colors are a must.

We ate at Tao Yuan. It's a Singaporean-Chinese restaurant. My Dad is very particular when it comes to chinese food and it's been a while since a restaurant has impressed him. This one really did. I'm not a food blogger so I am not even going to attempt to write like one...all I can say is YUMMY!!!

Prepare for a bit of hunger-inducing food photos:

Laksa.
I love spicy food but somehow despises spicy soup. That is until I tried this one. It's really spicy but has a buttery taste at the same time.  I can't explain it well but for I'll come back for this soon. Real soon.

Roast Pork ( I think)

OMG! This one is just too good for words. Just looking at the picture makes me drool. Takam na takam ako. ANG SARAP nyan! Pramis!

And of course, the Birthday Cake.
Spot my "first name" there.

I'm back!!! And Hong Kong was awesome as always, tiring but overall just great. I was a little disappointed though with the clothes...I think most of what they had we can already find here. And H&M started coming out with their fall clothes already so it's not appropriate in our weather anymore. I have some interesting finds though which I'll share with you in upcoming posts.

This is an outfit from before I left.

I rarely do my outfit photos inside our house because as you can obviously everything is so orange. I'm already too yellow as it is, this lighting just makes me look like an "oompa loompa". But it was raining really hard that day so indoors it was.

Pax sent this shirt with my order from her latest Archive collection. Walang halong pambobola, but I've been eyeing it for a while now. I was just a little unsure of how it'll fit me. Super happy that she did send it over...I LOVE IT! Thanks PAX! You know na my style!

Frostbite

There's no denying that I'm wearing purple lipstick here.. It's not a pinky purple or a lilac, just plain purple. I've been on the hunt for a shade like this and when I finally got it, I was honestly scared to use it.  My sister kept telling me I look like I'm suffering from frostbite which was kinda true especially on dimmer lights. BUT I wanted it so panindigan na diba?

I'm liking it though. Not for everyday but it's a good color for my collection. How about you guys, would you wear something like this? or it's just a little too out there?

I'm off to Hong Kong in a few days and the number one agenda is to hit up MAC stores. It's definitely cheaper there so expect some new lip shades when I get back. Do you have any suggestions?

Can Never Have Too Much Bows

20110821-1

20110821-2

20110821-3

dress: Archive
shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Lita
lips: Mac Love Forever

Another backlog post. Wore this to lunch with my family and cousins. I didn't really think the dress was crumpled until I saw these photos. Yikes!

This dress was just too adorable to pass up. As soon as I saw Pax post it up on Archive, I knew I had to have it.  I don't know what it is about "bows" that I can't seem to resist.

And I know I know, you're all probably getting sick and tired of my Litas. It's all I ever wear these days. I wore a different pair of shoes the other day and it just didn't feel right on my feet anymore. They have become spoiled and stubborn. These shoes are just too comfy. But I'm on the hunt for an alternative.

A Trip to Salcedo

20110820-2

20110820-1

20110820-3

tee: Forever21
blazer: somewhere in HK
shoes: Topshop
lips: Mac Candy Yumyum

Went for a very basic outfit because we were headed for a market. I've had this tee since last year and is probably one of my most worn clothing. It's super comfy and fuss free. And my boyfriend was beyond ecstatic to see me in flats and not in Litas. He despises my JC babies a little because it make me a wee bit taller than him. I did bring a blazer with me because we dropped by Rockwell Bazaar that night.

Also, put on very minimal make up. Tinted moisturizer, light eyebrow powder, touch of mascara and of course the infamous highlighter pink Candy Yumyum lipstick.  My face felt naked w/o my eyeliner.

After our disappointment with the food in Mercato, the boyfriend and I dragged our "anti-morning selves" to Salcedo Market a few Saturdays ago. We were a little more prepared this time. I did a little bit of research the night before. My favorites were the samosa and baklava. The Japanese pancake was yummy as well... actually most of the food we tried were quite delicious. Unlike in Mercato were the food were mostly redundant, Salcedo has a very wide variety. I'm been planning to go back with my friends soon. It's worth the early morning call.

Sunday's Best

20110814-1

20110814-2

dress: Forver21
shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Lita
lips: Mac Full Speed

One thing you should know about me is that I disappear constantly.. for no reason whatsover. Anyhows, I'm back for now. That was another long hiatus and now I seem to be out of loop of the blogger world. How's everyone?

This outfit was from 2 weeks ago. Lunch out with the family. I try to tone down my quirkiness during Sundays because my Dad tends to be conservative sometimes. This definitely got the Dad Approval Seal.

I'm so bored with my hair at the moment. I'm seriously contemplating on cutting it short short! I know the whole "magtatampo" ang hair ko so I'm a little hesitant. Thoughts????
