Wore this last minute outfit for my Mom's birthday last December 14. Definitely got the thumbs down for my neutral ensemble. Good thing I had a good comeback.. "I'm wearing red Mom, red lipstick!" Nakalusot naman... 

Try as I can, I really fail at shopping for "colorful" clothes.  But I do excellently with in-your-faces bold, vibrant lipsticks. When all else fails, I grab a tube of one my many reds and I'm good to go. 

Although lately I've sporting more of my neutral lips..Come summer next year, my pinks and purples are coming out to play. :)

Anyways...last hours of 2011. 

Whether the year was amazing or depressing for you, I hope you took it all in. The year is about to end and it's never coming back. So all the good and bad things, all the heartbreaks and laughter, all of it, everything is part of your history now.  It'll make you who you are in 2012 so choose to learn, let go and be thankful for the experiences. 

2011..2012.. those are just numbers, everyday is a chance to be better. You make the choice.

On a totally different subject..

So, I tried cutting my bangs las night. Total fail!!! Good thing I chickened out and didn't cut a big chunk. I've learned from my sister's "experience"...let's just say we still tease her about that incident to this day.  But I do need to have it fix soon. Any hair suggestions? I don't want to go short short because of my sister's wedding next year. Maybe dye it??? One thing I'm sure of is I neeeed my side swept bangs again. Yes, need them!

2 days till we say good-bye to 2011. Are you lovelies ready for your resolutions??? I don't have one, I have goals. I'll share with you in my next posts.

It's never too late to greet everyone a Happy Merry Holidays right? I hope everyone had a bountiful meal, boisterous laughter and a Christmas day full of love. 

It's been a tradition in my family to dress up during Christmas Eve... but these past couple of years, I've realized that I was the only one keeping up with it. So I went for something laid back and less constricting this year. It  wasn't about the glamour but about simple moments. 

As a kid, Christmas has always been magical to me. All the presents you get to open, all the dancing lights and the glitzy decors. The new clothes you get to wear, the carols  you hear. Don't get me wrong, it still is as magical to me today. But as entertaining as all the decors and lights are, I've come to realize the real magic that Christmas has. It's that one day of the year where everyone is a little bit kinder to one another, where everyone smiles a little more genuinely, where people laugh from their hearts. It's that one day where religion and beliefs are set aside and people are what matter.

This year was about celebrating that magic with my family. I didn't drag my father for the mandatory family photos that he seems to dread (we'll get to that on New Year's Eve). We ate Noche Buena like people who haven't eaten in days (my sister's fiance was a little taken aback). We prank-gifted our parents just for the heck of it. We just laughed and loved all throughout the night and into the next day. It was wonderful. 

That was our Christmas, how was yours???

I haven't bought gifts for the kiddos. I don't want to give them toys anymore because they have too much of those already. Like it's crazy the amount of toys they have in their room. They only play with it for a week then it gets forgotten. Maybe I can convince them to donate it. 

Do you have any other gift suggestion for a 5 year old boy and 6 year old girl???? Need help! 

I guess that's all for now. I have a pretty bad headache because I took a cold shower right after doing yoga. Bawal daw yun. Nakakapasma?! Can anyone tell me what "pasma" feels like??? Seriously.

In Presscon: My Househusband Ikaw Na!

When Pax invited me for the blogger presscon of My Househusband Ikaw Na, I immediately said yes. You don't really say no for a chance to meet Ms. Eugene Domingo, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo. 

My Househusband Ikaw Na is an official entry of Octoarts Films to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011.  

 Here's a brief synopsis of the movie. 

The movie revolves around Rod (Ryan Agoncillo), a bank manager who suddenly lost his job and his wife Mia (Judy Ann Santos) who had to take on a job to provide for their family.  While Mia continuously excels on her job at the insurance agency, Rod adjusts to doing domesticated houseworks.  In the process, he befriends their neighbor Aida (Eugene Domingo), who everybody in the neighborhood knows is "the other woman" of a rich man. 

It's a story of a couple who goes through the changes and trials of role reversal in the family. A story of a mistress who needed to realize her self-worth as a woman, and a human being.

Here's what I wore to the Bloggers United 2. 

Now I hope you keep in mind how I look here when I post the actual photos on the venue. Fresh faced (pa ng konti), braided hair and make up intact. 

Night before, I heard the place was well airconditioned and thought I could blazer it up. Big mistake! Within minutes of stepping inside I was sweating like I had ran a mile.  As in, naloka sakin si Aie pagkita niya. In all fairness though, I did came when the place was crazy crowded. Hindi na siguro kinaya. And I sweat easily din kasi. 

Anyways...

I'm almost done with editing my photos. I'll try to post it all tomorrow. For now, I should be in bed already. Up early tomorrow for my sister and nephew's Christmas program.

ps. I'm super happy to be reunited with this blazer again!!! It's been more than a year and I still love it like the first time I saw it.

This was my outfit on my Accessorize post with my sister. I got in the final 10 for that contest and won a consolation prize. I'll show it on my BU2 haul post. 

Anyways...

I really adore these polka dot shorts I got at the Surplus store. I found it buried amongst some tacky looking neon shorts. It was their last one and was my size. And the best part? It was only Php350. Perfect, if I say so myself.

I'm back in my old ways again. Blazer, blazer, blazer. I've forgotten how instantly chic they make an outfit look. If only we're not experiencing this summer heat in December....

Oh well...

Am I the only who hasn't posted about the Bloggers United 2??? So sorry. I actually have a couple more backlog outfit posts. But the BU2 might jump the line. I'lll edit the photos soon.

Anyways, I mentioned that I was taking a trial course on Bikram yoga. The seven day trial has ended and I've decided to go with it full time. The heat has been more tolerable after the 2 days. So far the benefit that I think I've been getting from it is sleep. Been sleeping a whole lot more these days. Which is both good and bad. I sleep earlier...BUT I've also been napping a lot. If anyones interested, I'll talk about it more after I've taken it for a month.

I'm a little late with my posts. These were a couple of weeks back...Paula's last day here. Funny how we spent that day apart, she stayed in her room and I stayed in mine. I guess we both didn't want to say goodbye to each other. I miss that crazy twin of mine. She's off having in NYC now...super jealous because it's on my Must Visit Places List. 

Anyways, this was also my very first time to go to Resort's World. I know, I know...mejo loser lang. I need to go back there. Have to drag the boyfriend. 

Also...

For some reason, I have grown attached to this little brown belt. It was just one of those that came from pair of shorts that you buy in Forever21. Somehow, most of my outfits are not complete without it. I think it balances everything out. I freaked out when I misplaced it. Oh well. Glad it's back

And...

Look who decided to join in. My super gwapong nephew, Seth. He looks innocent and harmless, but I tell yah he's such a little rascal. But gives the greatest hug in the world, he can melt your heart if he wants to.

November Loves: Make Up

It's that time of the month again. Well, not that "time".. just time for the make up that I loved in November. You can check my October loves. 

I have 2 blush favorites this month. First off :

The Balm Hot Mama Blush

It's a peachy pink with golden sheen which is a very close dupe to the infamous NARS Orgasm blush. The best part is it's more than half the price. 

MAC Melba Blush

Now as I said, I have 2 favorite blushes this month. Melba is a matte finish. I'll describe it as the perfect balance between pink and orange. Nothing overdone. I love this because it goes hand in hand with the next item on my list. 

Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel

I can't explain the mundane happiness I felt when I finally got my hands on this. I've been looking for it for months!!! Thank you Hong Kong Airport. 

MAC Please Me

I got this shade back in September but only really fell in love with it this past month. It's the perfect pale pink that's perfect for my skin tone. It's not too barbie pink. 

Maybeline Magnum Volum Express

BEST MASCARA EVER! Now, this is just not a favorite for November but an all time favorite. It just made it's way here because just shifted back to it from another Maybeline mascara. I really am glad I'm back to this. It volumize and  holds curls. Feeling false eyelashes lang ang dating.
