WORLD BAZAAR FESTIVAL OPENING DETAILS:

Dec 2 - Friday | 9:30 AM | World Trade Center-Manila

Kapamilya Stars like Jason Abalos, Nikki Valdez, Rica Peralejo, Gladys Reyes, Christopher Roxas, Ram and Ralph Fernandez, Miles Ocampo, Eda Nolan and Biggest Loser finalists Hazel Chua, Angela Chico-Lupangco, Raffy Tan, Art Mendoza and Larry Martin will be there to open the event.

What you can look forward to:

1. Over 600 booths from toys to gadgets to books to handicrafts to sporting.

2. Kapamilya stars will have their own celebrity booths.

3. Woobie, the official World Bazaar Festival mascot, will be giving away early Christmas treats. 

4. Kids can write their Christmas wishes in the Make A Wish card and hang them in the giant 30-foot Christmas tree. Every Friday, a card will be chosen and the lucky kid will have his or her special request granted. 

5.World Bazaar Festival will showcase an Appliance and Gadgets Craze that will run from December 13-15 at the WTC East Wing Tent.

I woke up today and said I choose to make it a good day. So I've finally snapped out of my depression/anxiety. I'm sorry for the terrible rant in my last post and on my twitter. Sometimes I forget that I have total control of how I feel. 

So today, I choose to be OK.

This is what I wore to my sister and nephew's birthday celebration. It's funny how everyone reacted because I was in flats that day. Lumabas tuloy ang tunay kong height. I guess I found an outfit that my Litas don't go with. 

Sorry for the blurry first photo. Most of my whole body shots were like that. I was too addicted to flipping my skirt.  Kinatuwaan lang.

It's almost 4AM, I should be sleeping. But I'm here blogging away while watching House and drowning in chocolates. 

I've been uneasy. Can't sleep properly. Mind racing. I call this "anxiety attack" but I don't really know. I'm no doctor. 

I don't mean to rant. I just can't seem to think straight at the moment. 

Laura Mercier: Moonlight Collection and Holiday Set

Being a new Laura Mercier girl (love their Silk Creme foundation) I was ecstatic when Sarah invited a bunch of us for their event. They were introducing their new Moonlight Collection and Holiday gift sets.  

The gift sets were encased in silver snake skin, totally on trend right? It's sophisticated and very chic, I like!

Will give you guys a more detailed breakdown. 

The event was held at East Cafe. It was actually my first time there and it might not be the last. Really good food and ambience. 

Meet Qua (hopefully it's the correct spelling), the make up artist. He was extremely funny and beyond talented. He has worked with The Nigel Barker. 

And his lovely muse for the day, Sarah! There were a lot of these moments. Ang dami niyang side jokes! I was really engrossed in what he was saying that I forgot to take photos beyond this point. 

Basically he talked about the four steps to flawless face, the Laura Mercier way. Kinig na kinig na talaga ako nito kasi I bought their kit about 2 months ago but unsure how to use it. Finally, a live step by step tutorial. 

1. First is apply the Foundation Primer(white tube, 3rd on the left). Make sure to use clean hands. 
2. The Foundation (1st on the left). Use dabbing motions with a sponge. 
3.  Secret Camouflage and Concealer (jar in the middle). Use two shades and mix for the perfect match to your skin tone. Don't overdo it.  
4. Last step is to apply the Setting Powder to keep makeup in place.

After that we went down to the Laure Mercier store to check some more of their stuff. 

It was really hard to resist the lipstick..but I did! I deserve a pat on the back. As I've said I'm new at using Laura Mercier but I highly recommend their foundation or even their tinted moisturizer. 

They were kind enough to let us take home these beauties. Thank you so much! Really excited to use these. I still need to buy the activator for the eyeliner. I'll let you know when I've tried it. 

I am however in love with the souffle body creme in Almond Coconut Milk. I love coconut scents!!! I can't believe my luck that when I saw it on my bag. Thinking of buying the whole bath and body set or maybe the candle???

don't ask me how it happened because i'm not quite sure myself. it alll happened to fast. all i know is i thought i was going to go blind. hahahaha..

at eto pa. this thought flash through my head "acetone = acid = burned face = me with no face". hahaha..napasigaw na lng ako ng "MAAN!!! ACETONE SA MUKA KO!!!" while scrambling to get to the sink.

later ko lang na-realize acetone actually touches the skin of my fingers when i remove nail polish at hindi ito nakakasunog ng balat. hahahaha...

anyways..that was the highlight of my weekend. how was yours??? "

As I've mentioned my sister recently got engaged. Her fiance's family went to our house 2 weeks ago to "mamanhikan". I just have to say, we Chinese people have a lot of tradition. Now, I'm all about honoring some of these practices because I find them beautiful and humbling. I just find some too weird and unnecessary. But to each their own, I don't want to sit here and bash other people's belief. 

Anyways, this is probably the "reddest" I can go as far as maxi dresses are concern. I'm a little in love with this dress, I'm counting the days that it's socially acceptable to wear it again. Oh screw fashion rules, give me an event and I'll wear it na!

Accessorize About The Bag: A Sister's Bond

Meet my sister Paula.

She's a little crazy, obnoxiously funny,  too maldita for her own good, and definitely gorgeous. 

We're each others crazy antidote. She's my fashion consultant, I'm her relationship therapist. We're also each other's number 1 fan, support group and worst critic. We're more different than we are the same but we balance each other perfectly.

In terms of style, Paula is more classic and I'm more quirky (to say the least), but we've always have the same eye for beautiful things. So it was no surprise that as soon as she saw this gold studded, quilted, chain-strapped beauty, she wanted it too. We went out the very next day and bought one for her. 

I know some girls find it annoying to be seen wearing something similar, we don't! In fact, we celebrate it. We wear it like a friendship bracelet. We love trotting around the mall amidst point and stares at our identical bags. Mababaw lang naman kami, we had fun na sa ganun. 

What's in Our Bag

I'm very picky about bags. I usually have 2 rules. One, it should be versatile enough to match with any outfit. I hate changing bags. Two, it should be roomy enough for all my essentials. I'm happy to say this purse passes both rules. 

I kid you not. All of these stuff fit in that tiny looking purse!

Mine: from L-R Body Shop powder brush, MAC Blush and lipstick, Accessorize wallet, BB Bold 9780, Accessorize pouch, iPod touch, Clinique pouch that serves as emergency kit and housekeys. 

Hers: from L-R Coach wallet, Snoopy mirror, Rayban sunglasses, iPhone, L'Occitane hand cream, Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer.

As she leaves....

She's going back to the States tomorrow. She was only visiting for 2 weeks. I'll try not to cry but I'm pretty sure we both will. She's my "Partner in Crime", the one person who will never ever turn her back at me NO MATTER WHAT.  I always hate it when she goes.

As mundane and cheesy as this sounds, I'm still gonna say it. "At least we have this purse to remind us of each other". I know it's just a bag but trust me we'd both find something to laugh non-stop about just by looking at it. Yes, we're that coo-coo!

AND PAULA you're probably reading this because you're such a STALKER!!! You know we're happier, stronger and more alive when you're here. We love you, I love you. I'm always going to be whatever you need me to be. I'm gonna miss you so bad crazy!!!

I never thought I'd buy five of them but what do you know, I got a little crazy. Now, I know they're all Litas but I still consider each one different from the next. Each one has something to offer, each one has it's own personality. Ok, I'm talking like they're my children. Better stop.

It's not everyday that your nephew celebrates his 4th birthday.

And it's not everyday that your sister celebrates her 30th. 

It's not everyday that your sister is home to celebrate for her birthday.

It's not everyday that you hear her crazy laughter from across the table. 

It's not everyday that your sister shouts "I found Nemo" because someone was wearing a striped orange shirt. 

And it's not everyday that your other sister's fiance IS wearing a striped orange shirt.

It's not everyday that you are the only one in flats when everybody else is hardly in heels.

It's not everyday that your yaya gets to laugh at you in front of an audience.

It's not everyday that you see your little sister pose like Darna while in a Wonder Woman costume. 

It's not everyday that you see a boy a in a muscled Spider Man costume.

It's not everyday that you see your boyfriend excited about all the toys your nephew got.

And it's not everyday that you see him get more excited to open them up.

It's not everyday that your tube of lipstick wins your little sister a prize. 

It's not everyday that you scan the room and you see your family complete.

And it's not everyday that you see them all just giggling and having fun. 

It's not everyday but IT WAS TODAY.

Finally!

As per requested...here is my entire Mac lipstick collection all lined up. I sincerely hope I don't take heat for posting it here. 

Finally had good light this morning so I grabbed the chance. It was nerve-wracking to say the least. One false move and I'll end up with a bunch of broken lipsticks. I even had to battle out some birds at one point, "kala ata lollipop". Anyways, I chatter too much again. Here it goes.

First Mac lipstick I ever got was the Viva Glam Gaga, my Mom bought it for me in the US. This is my collection now since that first one. Let's just say I never went back after that. I know I went too fast too soon so I have stopped buying for now.

Sometimes it pays to take risks... kala mo ang lalim, I'm just talking about the vest. Normally, I would have went for the black but decided to just go for something a little different. One of the best buys for that trip.. it matches with almost everything I have.

In other things, my sister is home from the US for 2 weeks. Which explains why I haven't had much time to take photos to blog about. She can be quite demanding and time consuming and annoying, but I love her anyways. We get a little crazy, bitchy and ultimately the perfect partners in crime when we're together. She'll appear here in one my posts...I'm working on that. That's all for now. Talk to you all tomorrow. It's finally a good day.

Gemini Thoughts: In Unfinished

It's been over a year since I last held a pencil and sketch. I miss it terribly. And every time I try to start again, I seem to have no time in my hands. Which is really ironic considering I don't really do anything. My day is spent at the office, the gym and in front of the computer. Real productive right?  

The sad part is...

 If there's one thing I consider my passion, it would be art. I could spend literally the whole day just sketching and I wouldn't mind at all, and still do it the next day. It's something that gives me satisfaction and happiness. Something I would have loved to do for the rest of my life. 

Now, if only.... 

Anyways, I need to get back at it and finished about 3 artworks. Hopefully I get the motivation I need. 

No Shame In Defeat

It's almost midnight as I type this.. Time's up! I tried, I really did. I just can't seem to think of post for today. And I didn't want to leave you guys with a haphazard one like last night. So I thought it better to just admit defeat for today and come back tomorrow. I feel the pressure. 

My friend asked me "Why the blogging everyday?" I'm not really sure why. I just thought it'll be a fun challenge. And challenge it is turning out to be. I have to admit though I'm also enjoying coming up with different type of posts. The endless bombarding of my outfits in your dashboards can be tiring, I know. This way I can rein in my procrastinating habits and do half the ideas I have on my head. 

Ok, I'm rambling. I'll stop. 

As I hate a photoless post, here's a teaser for an upcoming one I'm working on. I tried shooting my lip collection today as requested by Kookie but midway through it I lost good lighting. It wasn't the best location to begin with. Will try again soon.

Grey on grey and black on black. Not a drop of color... I'm not really sure why my whole outfit ended up that way. All I know was I was dying to wear this mickey mouse shirt again. 

I know this pair of LIita is getting the most wear lately. It's just the easiest to wear. It matches everything and I'm not scared to get it dirty. I guess the price tag on this is worth it after all.  And funny enough, this is the least attention grabbing amongst the first 3. Let's wait and see what people's reaction would be on the next 2. 

Late post I know. Things were a bit hectic today but it was all good. UNTIL someone ruined it. Don't ask. Will be chirpier tomorrow.

Lipstick Staple

Speaking from a lipstick addict's point of view, you can never have too much lipstick. Each color from each brand are never exactly the same. All of them have something unique to offer you. 

Realistically speaking though, I think a woman can survive with four shades of lipstick. Signature Red, Standout Shade, MLBB, Perfect Nude. Yes, just four and you're set to go.  The key to this is finding the perfect shade for your skin tone and personality. Not one shade will ever be universally appealing to 100% of the women who tries it. 

First off is knowing your undertone. You can fall under three categories: warm, cool and neutral. Warm undertones tend to have more yellowish skin (like me) and I wanna say cool undertones lean towards bluer skin but that's just wrong. 

Two ways you can determine which category you are. One is check your veins, whether it's blue, green or both. Two is to try on silver and gold jewelry. If you have green veins and gold jewelry suits you more then you're under warm undertone. And if it's blue veins and silver jewelry you have cool undertone. If you're both then it's neutral (lucky you).

These would be my four staples if I were to be forced, coerced and threatened to choose just four lipsticks. Not necessarily my favorites but four that I can live by.  From L-R: Ruby Woo, Candy Yumyum, Gem of Roses and Peachstock.

My hair is getting so long to the point that it's a little bothersome. I know I should have a haircut already but I keep going back and forth with it. I always rave how my hair is so photogenic. If you could only see it in person. The ends are really dry and coppery. And I want to get some bangs again.  I should just do it. Maybe soon.. like tomorrow. 

Another surprise is I'm not wearing lita. hahaha.. Maiba naman. I really love this pair though, and best thing about it  is I got on sale. It has a manly vibe which is perfect for my manly feet. It's really comfy too...I should stop. I might end up writing a whole long paragraph about these shoes. 

ps. I've noticed how a lot of people are sick these days.. including me. Just the colds though. How about you guys? Anybody else sick. If you nodded your head, do feel better. Lotsa hugs!
