Guilty Pleasure

Aside from my obsession with fashion blogs, I'm also a constant stalker of some YouTube beauty gurus. That may explain my rapidly increasing addiction to make up. If you're not familiar with beauty gurus, they are basically video bloggers who post tutorials, hauls and reviews in anything beauty and make up related.

Just like with the fashion blogging, many channels have sprouted out like mushroom. Some are awesome and entertaining, while some are just so so.

Here are my top 3 favorites. Some of you might find it helpful, or just plain entertaining. I chose these three (technically four) because aside from their really great skill at putting on make up, they're all unbiased, funny and humble. Also all four of them are really good at doing wearable and out-of-this-world-dramatic-fashion-runway looks.

First off is Leesha of Xsparkage
Website: http://www.xsparkage.com
YouTube channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/xsparkage
FFglitterice
She really has a great kid-like laugh and are never biased with her product reviews.

Second is Cora of Vintage or Tacky
Website: http://vintageortacky.com/
YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/vintageortacky
candy-mountain-029
Now, this lady is all about confidence and being true to yourself. And her eyes are just captivating.

And third are the gorgeous sisters Sam and Nick of Pixiwoo
Website: http://pixiwoo.blogspot.com/
YouTube Channel: http://www.youtube.com/user/pixiwoo
36082_120969131293458_120751147981923_143253_2225809_n
Now these two are 2 of the greatest in YouTube. Plus you could get lost in their British accent.

And in addition to these Vloggers if you're after really quality swatches, check out Temptalia. She's the best!!!

Now start watching ladies and be an addict like me!!!

Nasty Snake

I have a nasty confession to make: I sometimes wear my brand new clothes without washing them first. Yes, I know that's disgusting and not hygienic. I just get really excited to wear them and fear that something bad will happen to them during the washing process that will ruin it.  Yes, I'm a paranoid freak

This time though I think this habit got the best of me. See, this gorgeous snakeskin top? Wore it lunch with my family then afterwards to the Accessorize event. Now I know you'll only have to take my word for it but I seriously swear I don't have BO. Seryoso!!! But somehow throughout the day, I smelled like someone who did. Kadiri, I know. I don't know if it's the fabric or someone who did have BO tried it on. I'm not really sure. I just know that I was self-conscious the whole time. Sino ba naman hindi ma-jahe nun???

I wanted to back out from the event already but I thought it was really rude. So off I went. That is why I hardly took any photos or talked to anyone while there. I kept my distance. I didn't want to be known as the smelly blogger. Baka ma-fashion pulis ako. Suffice to say I learned my lesson. Pretty much all of my clothes went straight to the washer. Baka kasi may nahawaan yung damit.

I know this is a little personal. But I did say I was going to make an effort to not make such cold and boring posts. Pasensya na lang at mejo nasty ng chika ko today. :) Talk to  you all tomorrow!

A little Shopping

Forever21-1

Forever21-2

I came in just to have a look around...
then I said to myself maybe I should try on the beaded top that I was eyeing last time.
"hmmm...this cardigan is really nice."
passed by a random rack of clothes by the fitting room "oooh, leather shorts and it's my size."
walking to the register.."I really need some color in my wardrobe."

I shouldn't be left alone inside a store...especially Forever21.

This post is technically late...but it's let's just all agree that it's still the 7th because I haven't slept yet. :D

October Loves: Make Up

OCT11Faves-01
I'm no beauty blogger so this isn't really a product review of any kind. These are just  my thoughts on some the make up that I loved in October. Here goes...

OCT11Faves-02
Laura Mercier Silk Creme Foundation (Cashe Beige)
I like this foundation, it doesn't feel too thick and matches my color perfectly. I have been using Revlon PhotoReady and ColorStay before this. Both were fairly good product but wasn't right for me. PhotoReady was a little too dewy for my liking, especially since I sweat easily. ColorStay on the other hand was just a little too heavy.

OCT11Faves-03
Dolly Wink Liquid Eyeliner
I've always passed up on this whenever I see it in Sasa because I thought it was just over-hyped and I thought it was a little pricey. I was wrong. It really is a great eyeliner, very thin brush. Perfect for making the thinnest lines...and they're really opaque. I'm just hoping it doesn't dry out like some eyeliner.

OCT11Faves-04
MAC Peachstock
Oh my! I never expected to love this shade so much. I was forever on a lookout for a nude lippie that won't wash me out and make me look dead. I've been more afraid of nudes than the really bright colored ones. I'm glad I took a chance on this. And more glad that it's a permanent shade. Although, I don't think it is locally. I'll have to check.

OCT11Faves-05
MAC Equilibrium
Yes, that's a brown blush. And no, it doesn't make me look like somebody punch me on the face. I love, looove pairing this blush with red lips. They're a perfect match. It keeps me from looking like a clown.

OCT11Faves-06
Mac Paint Pot in Rubenesque
Gorgeous color! Doesn't crease on the eyes. I'm a little addicted to this.

blazer, pants, necklace: H&M

lipstick: Mac Gotta Dash

Back to regular programming. :)

Wore this 2 weeks ago for lunch with my boyfriend's family, it was his Mom's birthday. By now,  I don't think I really need to explain the very bright pink top, right?

Two things about my outfit. First, I love and hate these pants. They're my first ever high waist pants and I love how it elongates my body. BUT I also had to buy, exchange and then buy again just to get the right fit and I still ended up with something a little big. Remind me never to try on clothes again with a full stomach. Secondly, this blazer is definitely a favorite. I've had it for a year now and I think it was the first of the many leopard prints I now own. It probably started the obsession.

That's all for now... talk to all of you tomorrow.
