Gemini Thoughts: In Simple Days

It's finally December!!! 22 days before Christmas.

Also 29 days before we say goodbye to 2011. One more year and I can finally watch the movie 2012! I haven't watched it because I'm waiting for the "end of the world" to pass before I do.

Anyways....

I started my December great. After weeks of being postponed, I finally got to try Bikram Yoga. I've been curious about yoga for months, then I learned that my friend was doing it. I got more intrigued. Then my sister says she wants to do it. The universe has spoken!

I'm only on the trial period. It was only my 2nd day today. So far, I haven't really been enjoying the "classes" themselves, the heat is quite unbearable. I like the poses though.  But I'm not shutting it down yet. I need to give my body some time to adjust. I'll tell you more about it after I've completed the one week trial.

Also...

Today, I tweeted that our house was almost on fire. It prompted some worried phone calls from my family. Yikes!  I guess one should never tweet when you haven't recovered from "panicking".

It started with some candles and christmas wreath downstairs. Good thing I was awake because I usually nap around that time. Imagine this...my 4 year old nephew sleeping at the room downstairs alone, my tita and the yayas were outside. The kitchen doors were closed so they can't see or smell the smoke. I don't even wanna say what could have happened. I'm beyond thankful that I was home and awake!

Moving on...

Bloggers United Part 2!!!! Bigger and better than the first one. Hats off talaga to Melai, Ana and Pax. These girls are super amazing. Amidst all the things that they do, winner pa din sa planning. They even invited some really fabulous Cebu bloggers.

Excited and Anxious! I'm not really sure how I'll get there tomorrow. But I'll find a way. We've all seen the teasers of the bloggers and I'm scared for my wallet. Goodbye December paycheck (which was just handed to me today).

See you all there!!!

Now, to find me an outfit for tomorrow.

Commuter Friendly

Sorry for the hair on my face. I was in such a hurry to leave the house, this was the only decent whole body shot I got.

top: Forever21
necklace: bought in HK,( I think locally available)
shoes: Jeffrey Campbell Lita

This is what I wore for the Laura Mercier collection launch. See post HERE

Funny thing was I almost didn't make it to the actual event. I got my dates totally mixed up and actually thought that it was on the next day.  I was at the office when I sort of realized that I got it wrong. Major panic mode. I quickly finished everything I can, rushed home, took the fastest shower, got dressed, took outfit photo, rode the train. And what do you know, I was the first one there. hahaha..

Thanks to Ava talaga! Despite having trouble with her BBM she was able to reply to me.

Since I was commuting, I decided to go for a very laid-back look. Went for pants and a loose top. Didn't even put the harness on my Lita. Para hindi agaw pansin

I've honestly missed taking the train. I took the LRT during my college days in Benilde. And I can still remember some of the funniest and craziest scenes that I've witnessed. Words like "EH DI MAGTAXI KA, ANG ARTE ARTE MO!" are forever embedded in my head. I love people watching. Kakatuwa

Anyways, I've rambled on. Here are some of the photos with the fabulous girls I was with.

After the event, I went to Starbucks with Angel, Keigh, Ava and Gizelle. It was fun just chatting with them. Topics we've covered some topics like make up, portable dance poles, clowns and my personal favorite "Divined". hahaha..peace Gi!

Rustan's Art Perfumery

1

After the Laura Mercier event, the girls and I also got a tour of the first ever art perfumery in the Philippines. Parang field trip!  I rarely go to perfume sections of department store because I always get overwhelmed with all the scents, but happy to say that was not the case here. None of the perfume were overpowering.

Most of the brands that they have are family owned businesses. They are not highly commercialized but equally successful. Some have been around for 400 years.

What Caught My Eye:

A 16k peso candle. It's huge! Perfect housewarming gift?

Now this is a more popular brand to celebrities, and I can definitely smell why.
5

The Hierbas De Ibiza's family tradition in Perfumery goes back to 1965.

Acca Kappa is wold renowned for their wooden brushes. They've been making it since 1869 and are 100% made in Italy from start to finish.

Now these are definitely luxury in a bottle. It costs around 20k php. The bottles are ceramic and if I remember correctly, only 6 of these are available here in the Philippines.
6

Everyone was going gaga over these really cute bottles. They had tiny cute faucets at the bottom. Too bad they weren't for sale.
7

My lootbag!
The Acca Kappa one is a little too floral for my taste but I've been reading from the other girls blogs that they are loving it. I, on the other hand fell in love with the Gendarme Cologne. I know it's for men but it blends so well with my chemistry, I can't stop using it.

Flip and Turn and Twist

I woke up today and said I choose to make it a good day. So I've finally snapped out of my depression/anxiety. I'm sorry for the terrible rant in my last post and on my twitter. Sometimes I forget that I have total control of how I feel.

So today, I choose to be OK.

skirt: market in Hong Kong
lipstick: Peachstock

This is what I wore to my sister and nephew's birthday celebration. It's funny how everyone reacted because I was in flats that day. Lumabas tuloy ang tunay kong height. I guess I found an outfit that my Litas don't go with.

Sorry for the blurry first photo. Most of my whole body shots were like that. I was too addicted to flipping my skirt.  Kinatuwaan lang
