When Pax invited me for the blogger presscon of My Househusband Ikaw Na, I immediately said yes. You don't really say no for a chance to meet Ms. Eugene Domingo, Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo.
My Househusband Ikaw Na is an official entry of Octoarts Films to the Metro Manila Film Festival 2011.
Here's a brief synopsis of the movie.
The movie revolves around Rod (Ryan Agoncillo), a bank manager who suddenly lost his job and his wife Mia (Judy Ann Santos) who had to take on a job to provide for their family. While Mia continuously excels on her job at the insurance agency, Rod adjusts to doing domesticated houseworks. In the process, he befriends their neighbor Aida (Eugene Domingo), who everybody in the neighborhood knows is "the other woman" of a rich man.
It's a story of a couple who goes through the changes and trials of role reversal in the family. A story of a mistress who needed to realize her self-worth as a woman, and a human being.
Now, onto the presscon.
Ms. Eugene Domingo in a very shiny shimmering splendid dress.
Ms. Eugene Domingo really enjoyed her role as Aida because she doesn't have a straight guy best friend in real life. It was a nice change for her to have that kind of interaction.
She really admires the relationship of Judy Ann and Ryan. "Para lang silang naglalaro".
When asked if she'll ever be a third party in real life..Very strong headed na NO! "Hindi lang yan about sa karma, nasa 10 Commandments yan.."
Real life couple - Judy Ann Santos and Ryan Agoncillo
Ellen Adarna and Ryan Agoncillo
Ryan is open to accepting gay roles as long as the story and writing are good.
The most that he can relate to his character Rod, is the fact that they're both raising 2 children.
Both he and Judy Ann, have high respect for Direk Joey Reyes. "He is a master of the middle class"
Their advice for couples is "choose your battles, honesty is the best policy and laugh at your mistakes".
Rocco Nacino
He plays the brother of Judy Ann Santos in the movie. Also a real life nurse.

I don't watch movies often but in all honesty, I really want to go see this. It's actually my kind of movie...simple, funny but not shallow.
